About the Energy Healing Institute
The Energy Healing Institute’s energy healing training courses are married with courses that explore the study of Consciousness. The offerings at EHI are broad, expansive and designed for participants who want to immerse themselves in deeply learning a form and modality of healing that is internally inspired and externally grounded in efficacious protocols, skills and practices.
The diverse expertise and breadth of EHI’s participants stimulates classroom discussion and prompts learners to extend themselves beyond their previous understanding of energy, energy healing and consciousness. The classroom environment percolates with exploration, the intrigue of expanded awareness and the courageous commitment to forego reductionist and simplistic views of matter, consciousness, health, wellness and the individual human organism. Energy healing is holistic, systemic and grounded in science, spirituality, consciousness, potentiality and ever-evolving beliefs of reality, wholeness and well-being.
EHI’s Participants
EHI attracts a broad, educated population of professionals who are multi-disciplined in their energy healing or integrative practice. They are entrenched in their modalities and forms of healing, their practices reflect their expanded awareness and their ability to hold space for the infinite potentiality that energy healing offers.
The EHI student typically has one or two modalities that they have studied and practice in their lives. EHI participants are:
- Therapists
- Social Workers
- Psychologists
- Mental Health Professionals
- Nurses
- Doctors
- Naturopaths
- Acupuncturists
- Cranio-Sacral Therapists
- Spiritual Counselors
- Life Coaches
- Yoga Instructors
- Fitness Instructors
- Massage Therapists
- Vibrational healers
- Psychics and Mediums
- Reiki, Polarity and other energy modality practitioners
Most have a formal healing practice, and often use the EHI curriculum as a foundation for their work within themselves and in the world. Because EHI is modality neutral – or actually – modality inspired, participants are encouraged to combine and extend their offerings to create an energy healing or integrated practice that supports the wholeness and fullness of their expertise. The Teaching Model:
EHI’s classroom approach is designed to facilitate learning and experience with the skills, without a predominant focus on individual personal process work. In other words, the classroom experience is steeped in content, deep practice. The group experience is designed to be content rich and experientially appropriate, but is not the forum for the student practitioner to do his or her personal healing work.
Classroom discussions are lively, rich and experientially-based, and are centered on awareness gleaned from accessing the space and consciousness generated through the skills and practices. The individual and his or her personal process are acknowledged, and help is available to participants who need support to move through a moment or to process an insight, however this is a rare occurrence and does not dominate the classroom experience.
Our faculty believes that emotional process work and individual self-healing are essential to the overall health and wellness of the healing practitioner. The Energy Awareness pre-requisite teaches participants essential skills for self-care and a clean, hygienic practice environment. While no one who offers services as a healer is perfect or evolved beyond the need to do ongoing internal inquiry and healing, it is essential that the healer do his or her own work in conjunction with the work offered in a healing practice to support others.
In creating a learning environment focused on deep exploration of energy and its properties and resources, participants of energy healing learn the work itself and can master the skills and practices through individual efforts following the classroom experience. The EHI teaching model is respectful of time, energy and the individual. Participants are enriched with skills and practices, and guidance and facilitation from the instructor is available to them on a one-on-one basis.
EHI’s Founder
Jill Leigh, EHI’s Founder has studied, taught and practiced different forms of energy healing for more than 20 years. Her bedside reading includes books on the Chakra System and the Aura, Quantum Science and Consciousness Studies. You’ll see this trilogy of interests interwoven through the training courses EHI offers its participants.
EHI has a couple of other great Faculty members who are phenomenal healers in their own practices and teach specific curriculum at EHI. Check them out as you come across the Human Anatomy and Energy Anatomy course and the Vibration of Plants course.
Blogs
Jill will blog for EHI. She has a special interest in elevating the conversation about the efficacy of energy healing and pursuing a means for certifying chakra-based energy systems. The diversity of chakra-based trainings is grounded in the perceptive awareness of the divining process. The perceptions in one system of chakra awareness do not quite map one-to-one to other systems. Thus a certifying body has to base its criteria on something other than the foundational elements of the system. It’s an interesting and difficult challenge, and one that intrigues and stimulates Jill’s thinking and interests in the field of energy healing.
And then there’s Chakra Khan. That’s also Jill. She blogs as Chakra Khan at http://www.chakrakhan.omtimes.com. She’s a little spunkier over there. You’ll get another taste of the classroom environment and the role that lighthearted humor plays in healing.
