Your Modality is Just the Beginning
I’ve taught energy healing to practitioners for more than 25 years.
Practitioners who study with me fall into two loose categories:
- Those who already have a client practice and are integrating energy healing into their service offerings.
- New practitioners, looking to change careers and build an energy healing practice.
What do they both have in common?
A need to master more than their modality to thrive.
They need to master running their business.
Launching: The Summer Business Development & Practice Leadership Series
If you’re like most practitioners, summer slows your practice – clients are vacationing, reducing their session frequency and even perhaps taking a break from their work with you.
It’s an ideal time for you to step back, take a look at what your practice needs to grow to its next level.
I’m offering a summer lineup of live, online workshops —The Business Development & Practice Leadership Series.
Seven workshops — focused, growth intensives designed to help you:
- fill your fall calendar
- increase client retention
- create passive income
- expand your outreach
- grow your leadership chops
Bottom line: create a more sustainable, profitable practice.
Business Development Workshop Topics
Take a look at your business development expertise, the state of your practice, and decide what’s most important for you right now. Each of the workshops below are between 1.5 and 2 hours, and packed with actionable tools, resources and materials to help you thrive.
Designing Your Practice Strategy – consider and answer key questions to develop a Practice Strategy that attracts the clients who are looking for what you offer. Whether you’re new to practice, or perhaps adding a new modality to your service offering, a targeted look at the strategy for your client practice sets the foundation for all business growth.
Developing Your Brand Language & Voice – Language and imagery matter, and the voice you use is an invitation to your customer. You’ll look at key phrases and images in your field and share what you think will resonate with your clients. You’ll receive feedback on your language, voice and imagery from your peers and from me. Leave the workshop with a clear palette for messaging your brand.
I don't use the word 'healing' very often in my brand. I use 'evolution'.
I don't use the word 'healer' at EHI. I believe professionalism is conveyed through the use of the word, 'practitioner'.
I don't show a lot of images of spacescapes to convey energy. My brand is very grounded and practical.
Creating Online & In-person Workshops – Grow your client list, generate exposure for your practice, teach redundant material to your clients in a group setting. Whatever you offer that is shared repeatedly is workshop material. Packaged appropriately, it can attract new clients into your practice, become passive income for your bottom line profitability, and create new markets for your products and services. A well designed workshop or course is a money maker!
Lead Magnets – List Building Strategies – A value-laden Lead Magnet grows your mailing list – your most important revenue generating asset in your practice. If you’re not sure how to attract new clients to your practice, a Lead Magnet can pave the way. It simplifies your messaging – you can drive prospective clients to your Lead Magnet and avoid feeling like you do nothing but ask for appointments.
Growing as a practitioner includes mastering business strategies and fundamentals, and returning to these basics repeatedly as your business grows and evolves.
Practice leadership is a honed skill
Practice Leadership – a phrase I use to reference the dynamics that occur within the confines of the client-practitioner relationship. Practice Leadership may not be considered in the heady and active phase of launching a practice, but as the practice grows, its presence or absence will be felt fairly rapidly by practitioner and client alike.
The need to grow your practice leadership shows itself in many ways.
- Client dominance – allowing the client to dictate how sessions flow and what can be accomplished.
- Time management – running late because sessions are not tightly managed.
- Client resistance – inability to perceive when a client is deflecting attention from the work, their evolution and healing.
- Giving away time, materials, value without compensation – extensive emails, calls between sessions, fielding non-emergency questions, generating custom materials or protocols.
- Feeling uncomfortable selling your products, services and encouraging client compliance and participation in their evolution – reluctance to sell costs you income, and diminishes your excellent work.
- Inability to rapidly discern a client’s core issue – getting lost in the story, details, or ancillary concerns through a loose, imprecise case intake process.
- Client compliance – ensuring that policies and procedures are respected, treatment approaches are followed, and knowing when and how to refer or terminate a non-compliant client.
- Managing conflict – feeling comfortable and grounded in response to client complaints, disagreements or inappropriate behavior.
Practice Leadership Workshops
Three Practice Leadership workshops, all 1.5 hours each. Where are your growing edges in your practice? These intangible skills change the paradigm that’s operating in your practice now. Or if you’re just getting started in practice, you can launch with effective Practice Leadership skills that eliminate slipping into difficult client management issues.
Topics Include:
Leading in Your Practice – Strategies and practices for taking control of your sessions, helping clients relinquish their anxiety and control needs, managing a tight, cohesive intake that leads to the client’ issues needing resolution, managing conflict.
Selling Services & Offers Comfortably – Revenue grows when practitioners sell. They may not be selling oils or supplements. They may simply be selling next steps, commitment, add-on treatments. If you’re not selling, your clients may not be buying!
When Clients Don’t Respond to Treatment – Identifying and handling unconscious resistance is a key leadership skill to support your clients when they’re struggling, and to build confidence in your capacity and facility as a practitioner.
When practitioners lead in their practice, their clients follow. The journey and path toward healing and resolution of the client’s issue is illuminated by the practitioner, and the client falls into line within the process.
Workshops Run Weekly: July 16-August 27
You’re welcome to join one, some, many or all of the workshops. They’re all held live, online, with me as your host and facilitator. You’ll receive actionable tools, a recording of the workshop itself (for live attendees only), and access to some great support as you build your practice strategy and grow your income.
I look forward to helping you grow your practice!
